Grandmother Wants A New Nose For Christmas: Cosmetic Surgery Thrives Among Seniors
If you thought that you could not be more surprised by cosmetic surgery after watching what they will show television series such as Extreme Makeover and Nip and Tuck, prepare yourself because this next fact may shock you more than what the plastic surgeons are doing on the television.
Unlike what you may perceive as the main age group of people getting plastic surgery, people who are grandparents are the highest age group to head into a plastic surgeon’s office.
In fact, seniors or those in their late forties and fifties are more likely to be seen in a cosmetic surgeon’s office over teens and those in their twenties. Why? Well, the likely reason is because they have the money it requires to have plastic surgery, but a lot of it is due to the fact that the grandparent generation is the baby boomer generation. It is now not fashionable to simply mature with age and grow older, they feel the pressure to grow older under their own terms, and if that requires a face lift, so be it!
