Breast Implants Identify Murder Victim

Breast implants have recently made national headlines for the most unlikely reason. Not for being too large, or bad for your health, not being a problem in the objectification of women. No. They have been part of due process. Apparently, implants can identify you even if nothing else can, and may bring a man to justice.

Who knew?

Ryan Alexander Jenkins, a wealthy reality TV contestant, was served an arrest warrant for the alleged murder of his wife Jasmine Fiore, a swimsuit model. Jenkins was featured in the reality TV show, “Megan Wants a Millionaire.”

The two had a stormy relationship: Jenkins was charged in June with domestic violence for allegedly striking her with his fist. Jenkins also had a history of violence and sex addiction from 2007, which led to questions about his involvement in Fiore’s disappearance.

Fiore lived in L.A. and had last been seen in San Diego on August 13th. She had been with Jenkins. Jenkins reported her missing Saturday night.

Jasmine Fiore’s nude body was found stuffed in a bloody suitcase in a dumpster behind apartments in Buena Park, California on August 15th. Her body was so badly mutilated that the body was unidentifiable.

According to preliminary reports, cause of death was strangulation. Someone had gone to extreme lengths to hide her identity: her teeth had been pulled and all her fingers had been removed to prevent the body from being identified by dental records or fingerprints.

However, the culprit was not aware that implants have serial numbers on them. The detectives were able to trace back to the manufacturer, the surgeon, and ultimately, the patient – Jasmine Fiore. Without her implants, the body would have never been identified. However, the implants have possibly been a key step in the criminal process.

Breast Lift Surgery

Maybe you have thought for years what it would be like to be a C instead of an A. Maybe you have had back problems and need to explore surgical breast reduction. Maybe you have had breast cancer and need reconstructive surgery for one or both breasts, or maybe you just want to put them back where they used to be.

Whatever the need, breast augmentation is a growing area of cosmetic surgery, and now there are more options than ever. Breast and body lift surgery is now less invasive with better post-surgical results.

Because there are so many procedures and options available it is important to find an experienced, reputable board certified breast surgeon who can design the best procedure for you and your breasts. Experience counts: ask to see before and after breast lift photos.

When you have your initial consultation, the surgeon will want to discuss your goals and expectations. Be prepared to talk about the size and shape you desire and your feelings about the procedure. This goes without saying, but also be prepared to take off your shirt.

Make sure your breast lift surgeon includes you in the decision about the type of implant, where it will be insert and where the incision will be made. The surgeon should give you all the options available based on your body type.

How much does Breast Lift Surgery Cost?

The cost of breast lift augmentation varies widely, and is dependent upon many factors, including the region, the demand and skill of the surgeon, whether the procedure takes place in a hospital or cosmetic medical clinic, what type of anesthesia, and lastly, what type of surgery you choose.

Breast lifts (and brow lifts) also have non-surgical options, such as a laser bra surgery. This breast procedure utilizes laser therapy to lift breasts by tightening the breast support tissue. Recovery time is shorter than that of surgical breast treatments, and decreased nipple sensitivity, which can be an issue with traditional breast surgery.

How Does a Breast Surgery Work?

There are a couple of ways to make breasts look better. One of these procedures is called a breast augmentation. A breast augmentation is done by surgically inserting a breast implant under breast tissue.

Another procedure is a breast lift, with or without augmentation. Breast lift procedures are used to treat sagging breasts secondary to aging or nursing. In this procedure, breast tissue is removed and the breast skin is tightened and lifted.

What Can I Expect During the Procedure?

Breast surgery can be performed either in an outpatient office while you are awake (local anesthesia) or in a hospital where you will be asleep (general anesthesia). The procedure lasts one to three hours.

What can I Expect During Recovery?

Breasts will be bruised, sore and swollen. There may be some pain, but that can be easily treated with prescription pain medication. A surgical bra will need to be worn until the swelling has subsided. You can usually go back to work within a week, though heavy lifting is prohibited.

Who Is An Ideal Candidate For Breast Reduction Surgery

Breast reduction surgery is performed for many different reasons.  Whether the surgery is performed to improve your appearance or for medical reasons, the results can be very positive.  Many people choose to have the surgery to help alleviate the pain that comes from a large breast size.  There is a great deal to think about when you are considering breast reduction surgery.

The first thing that yo will have to do is choose your plastic surgeon.  This doctor should be board certified and have experience in the cosmetic procedure that you are planning to have.  In this case, your doctor should have a good amount of experience in performing breast reduction surgery.

Once you have selected a qualified board certified plastic surgeon, you will have an initial consultation. Your reasons for having the breast reduction surgery will be discussed during this consultation. The doctor will also discuss your options and a course of treatment that will include breast reduction surgery to eliminate the problems that you are having because of your large breasts.  The pain that can occur from having overly large breasts can cause some women to be unable to participate in a number of activities.   Some of the reasons that many women consider breast reduction surgery are physical pain and a discomfort with the appearance of their body.

You would be considered to be an ideal candidate for this surgery if you are in good health and physically fit.  Many women have exercised and dieted in an effort to reduce their breast size.  For some, this will actually help the situation while for others it is not possible to reduce the breast size in this manner.  If you are among these women, breast reduction might be your best chance of reducing the size of your breasts.

An ideal candidate for breast reduction surgery is also realistic about the surgery and has reasonable expectations for the results.  Believing that the surgery will change your life in unrealistic ways is not considered to be ideal for this type of surgery.  Breast reduction will eliminate pain and discomfort with your appearance, but it will not change your life in an overly dramatic way.

Some of the problems that have been experienced by women with oversize breasts are back pain, indentations in the shoulders from bra straps, skin irritation below the breast and painful stretched skin.  Women who are experiencing these problems can find relief with a breast reduction surgery.

During the surgery, the doctor will remove excess fat and tissue from your breasts as well as excess skin. The specific course of treatment will largely be determined on a case by case basis.  If your large breasts are primarily from fat, use of liposuction may be the only procedure necessary.

You should also be aware of the risks that can occur with breast reduction surgery.  Your doctor will go over the risks with you before your surgery.  Some of the risks that could occur are infection, excessive bleeding, reaction to anesthesia, misshaped breasts, poor healing and blood clots.  The risks are minimal with the surgery, but you should be aware of them and follow your doctors instructions to keep the risks low.

Why Consider Breast Suspension Surgery?

Many women realize as they age that their breasts are no longer in the same position that they once were.  A breast suspension surgery or mastopexy could be the answer to the problem.  It is important that you follow a few simple steps to make sure that your surgery goes as well as it can.  Breasts tend to sag with age, after having lost a great deal of weight and following pregnancies.

The first thing that you should do is find a board certified plastic surgeon to complete the surgery.  The right plastic surgeon will also make sure that you are a good candidate for the surgery when you have your initial consultation.  Your doctor will ensure that you are in the right frame of mind for the surgery and that you have realistic expectations about your breast suspension surgery.

You will also be evaluated to determine if you are in good physical condition for the surgery.  Many people who are interested in this type of surgery are in good physical shape, but are unable to get the tone that they would like in their breasts.  Your skin and the size of your breasts will also be evaluated during your consultation with the doctor.  The doctor will also ask you questions about your weight and if you plan to lose weight after the surgery.  Some women will experience a change in the size of her breasts with weight loss.  The doctor may recommend that you wait until after you have reached your weight loss goals to have the breast suspension surgery.

A woman can suffer a significant blow to her self esteem and confidence if she is uncomfortable with the appearance of her body.  Cosmetic surgery can help a woman feel better and carry herself with confidence.

The particular procedure that your cosmetic surgeon will use for your breast suspension surgery will depend on the shape of the breasts and your particular preference.  The most common procedure for this type of surgery involves three incisions.  The first incision is made around the areola, the next is made from the bottom side of the areola to the area under the breast and the third is a horizontal incision that is made under the breast along the curve of the breast.  The nipple is left in place so that a woman who plans to have children after the surgery will still be able to breast feed.

Even though  it is possible to breast feed after having a breast suspension surgery, a woman should consider losing the positive effects that she will receive from having it done.  Doctors will suggest that you wait to have the surgery until after you have had your last child.

The risks to this surgery are very low, but with all surgeries there can be risk.  You should discuss the risks with your doctor to determine what your personal risk is with the surgery, but the typical risks that  can be associated with surgery are bleeding, a reaction to anesthesia and infection.  Your risks will be diminished by following the advice of your doctor after the surgery.

Breast Reconstruction Surgery

Women who have undergone mastectomy will find that a breast reconstruction surgery can help to restore their breasts to their shape and appearance before surgery.  There are some things that you should consider before making the decision to have this type of surgery.

The first and probably the most important part of your breast reconstruction surgery is selecting the right doctor.  You should look for a plastic surgeon who is board certified and has the proper training to perform your surgery.  Make sure that they are experienced in this type of surgery as well as is continuing their education to provide their patients with the most up to date techniques for a breast reconstruction surgery.  The facilities that they perform their surgery in should be an accredited medical facility.  Do your research before you make the decision on the doctor that you choose.

You will also have to determine if you are a good candidate for a breast reconstruction surgery.  The first thing that you must make sure of is your ability to handle the diagnosis and surgery that you had that removed your breast in the first place.  Make sure that you have come to terms with the condition that caused the necessity for a breast reconstruction surgery.  You should also make sure that you do not have a medical condition that would cause your recovery from the surgery to be impaired.  Your goals and outlook should be positive and realistic. Make sure that you understand the surgery and what it can and cannot bring to your life.

A breast reconstruction surgery can take place at the same time as your mastectomy.  Your doctor may also recommend that you wait until you heal from the mastectomy before you decide to have a breast reconstruction.  This is something that you should discuss with your doctor before the mastectomy takes place.  Your emotional state will be one of the considerations for making this decision.

Your doctor will recommend that you have an evaluation before the surgery to determine if you are in good health before the surgery.  You will also be advised to stop taking aspirin, anti inflammatory medication and any herbal treatments that could cause excessive bleeding.  Stop smoking and maintain a healthy lifestyle prior to your surgery to make sure that the surgery goes well and your recovery also goes well.

If you have made the decision to go ahead with a breast reconstruction surgery, you can do your part to prepare in advance by making sure that someone will be there for you after the surgery.  You must have someone to take you home after the surgery as well as be there for the first day or two.  Preparing your home in advance can help you to get the rest and relaxation that you need to fully recover in the first weeks after the surgery.

A breast reconstruction surgery can help you to get over the emotional trauma of losing a breast.  Keep in mind that the reconstructed breast will not appear or feel as your natural breast did, but it can help you to feel more confident in your appearance.

How To Have Successful Breast Enhancement

Today, women have more and more options when it comes to breast enhancement. It doesn’t seem to matter what you feel is wrong with your breasts, you can find a cosmetic procedure that will help you to enhance your appearance.

If you feel that your breasts are too large, you will have the option of having your breasts reduced. This can enhance the tone and the shape of the breasts as well. Many women suffer from pain associated with large breasts as well as the difficulty in finding clothing that will fit. If you decide to have a breast reduction you will be obtaining a breast enhancement that will have as its result, freedom from the pain and discomfort that is common in women with large breasts.

Breast enhancement through breast implants is a very popular surgery among women who are looking to overcome some of the discomfort and lack of confidence that they feel about their appearance. Unfortunately, in today’s society a woman is judged based on her appearance in a great many cases. If a woman feels uncomfortable about her appearance it will directly relate to the way that she carries herself and the confidence that she feels. This can translate into problems in many other areas of her life. A breast enhancement surgery can help a woman to feel better about herself

A breast lift is a breast enhancement surgery that can help an older woman regain the tone and shape that they once had during their younger years. The surgery can be done with or without implants and will help a woman regain the firmness and shape of her breasts.

Breast enhancement will require a woman to prepare for her surgery or procedure to make sure that it is as successful as possible. You should be in good physical shape and eating a well balanced diet. When you have surgery for breast enhancement, a good physical condition will help you to undergo the surgery successfully as well as aid in your recovery. Surgery carries risk no matter what condition you are in and you should be prepared to follow your doctor’s instructions completely if you are to minimize the risks.

You should also take your time when you are choosing the doctor who will perform your breast enhancement procedure. Make sure that your chosen cosmetic surgeon is board certified and well qualified in the type of surgery that you are planning. Meeting with the doctor to discuss your options and answer all of your questions about the surgery should also be one of the first things that you do when you are planning a breast enhancement procedure.

A breast enhancement procedure can have a very positive impact on your life, but you should be realistic about your expectations. It will not change every aspect of your life. You can be assured that it can give you a renewed sense of confidence about your appearance. This is perhaps the best benefit of this type of procedure. Take your time and make your decision carefully.

Is Silicone Breast Implant Surgery Safe?

There has been a great deal of controversy surrounding breast implant surgery and more specifically silicone implants. After all of the research and investigation into the use of these implants there has not been a significant problem caused by the use of these implants.

The silicone implants that are on the market today are safer than they have ever been.  After the FDA approved the use of these implants once again, manufacturers have sought to create the safest breast implant that it is possible to make.  They are less likely to move, and will create a more natural appearance when they are placed in the breast.

To minimize the risks that are associated with the procedure it is necessary to make sure that you find a board certified plastic surgeon to perform the surgery.  It is also important that your health is in good condition and that you are physically able to undergo the surgery.  For most people, there is no problem with the procedure, but there are some problems that can come from the surgery in some cases.  Infection, bleeding, displacement of the implant, asymmetry of the breast and other complications could occur.

The doctor should evaluate the patient completely before the surgery to determine if they are an ideal candidate.  The skin and size of the breasts will be evaluated during the initial consultation to determine if the patient would receive a good result from breast implant surgery.  The size of the implant will also be discussed during the consultation.  It is important that the patient and the doctor select a size that will achieve a well balanced figure.

After surgery, you should expect that there will be some swelling and bruising in your breasts.  Over time this will diminish and you will begin to see the new shape of your breasts.  This could take up to a month to completely diminish.  Ice packs can help with the swelling and you will be instructed to keep your physical activity to a minimum.  Depending on the type of implants that have been placed, you may or may not be instructed to massage them to help keep the implants softer.  Of course, your doctor will give you specific instructions that pertain to your particular case.

The scars that are a result of the breast implant surgery will be permanent, however, they will be placed so that they are not noticeable.  Eventually they will lose their red appearance and appear as fine white lines.

Today’s silicone breast implants are much safer than the ones of the past.  They are less likely to rupture and there is no evidence that the breast implants will cause any adverse reaction.  If you are concerned about the silicone implants, you will have the option of using saline breast implants.

However, many doctors believe that silicone implants will offer the patient a much more natural feel.  The gel that is used in these implants is similar to the texture of natural breast tissue.  Choosing the breast implant that is right for you is an extremely personal decision and should be considered carefully.

The New Silicone Breasts

Silicone breast implants have had more than their share of controversy over the years.  They have been introduced, pulled from the market and vindicated by research and science.  However, many women still have a lingering doubt about whether they should have them or not.

Despite these lingering doubts of some, the new silicone breast implants are one of the most popular cosmetic surgeries today.  If you are considering having a silicone breast implant surgery, there are some facts that you should know before you make your decision.

The decision to have breast implants is a very personal decision.  Every woman who is considering having implants must make the decision based on their own personal reasons and do the research that is necessary to decide if the procedure is right for her.

If you have already made the decision to have a breast implant surgery, you are now faced with the decision over the type of breast implant to get.  Silicone breast implants have been researched and studied for many years now, and there is some information that is available that will help you to make the right decision for you.

In the United States, the Mayo Clinic did a study on silicone breast implants and found that there was no connection between silicone breast implants and any connective tissue disorders. The research came after concerns over the silicone breast implants and certain conditions that were thought to be caused by the use of the implants.  However, despite all the headline grabbing news, there has never been any research that has proven the connection to be real.  The implants were determined to be safe by many sources of scientific research.

Today’s silicone implants are designed to be less likely to move and cause the problems of displacement that some women complained about previously.  The texture of the implant causes them to stay in place much more effectively than implants of the past.

The use of silicone gel in these implants was done to effectively recreate the feel and appearance of a natural breast.  Silicone gel feels a great deal more like a natural breast than saline filled implants.  Of course, saline implants are appropriate if you are concerned over the safety of silicone.

Making the decision to choose silicone breasts over saline implants is one that you alone will have to make.  Your plastic surgeon can give you the information and pros and cons of each of these types of implants, but ultimately the decision is yours.  The recent research is quite compelling and there have been countless studies that have proven the silicone gel breast implants to be safe even if the implant breaks.

Take your time and do your homework on the research that has been conducted on silicon breast implants.  Silicone breasts are one of the most effective ways to help a woman who has suffered from a mastectomy or who just would like to improve the appearance of her breasts.  Cosmetic surgery should never be entered into lightly and it is your responsibility to make the best decision for you.

The Decision For Breast Enlargement

There are many factors that go into the decision to have a breast enlargement surgery.  If you are thinking about having this type of surgery, you should plan to take some time and consider your reasons as well as details about the procedure.

Breast Enlargement SurgeryWhen you are considering increasing the size of your breasts for cosmetic purposes, there are some ways that you can experience the increased size to determine if it is right for you.  Many cosmetic surgeons recommend wearing a special bra that will simulate the size and weight of your breasts after surgery.  This is a great way for women to determine if a breast enlargement is something that they truly want.

Carrying the extra weight in the breasts will have an impact on the decision to get implants for breast enlargement. You will also get a chance to see how larger breasts will look in your clothing.  A woman with very small breasts will be able to understand how her look and the way she carries herself will change after the implant surgery.

Women who have been uncomfortable with their small breasts will find that having a breast enlargement will help them to feel more confident in their appearance and the way that they are viewed by others.  However, you should not expect that a breast enlargement will change your life in every way.  You will have a renewed sense of confidence in your appearance and that can be a very powerful change that can impact the rest of your life.  It is not the implants that have created the change, but the way that you feel about yourself.

Your cosmetic surgeon will discuss your reasons for having the surgery with you.  The doctor will be trying to determine if you have unrealistic expectations for the surgery.  You will have to have the right mental attitude toward the implants to make the surgery a success.

Take a look at the risks that are involved in a breast enlargement surgery and determine if the benefits outweigh the risks.  Today, the risks that are involved in this type of surgery are very small, but they do still exist.  You will have to make sure that you take care of yourself during your recovery to ensure that you remain in good health and your body heals properly from the surgery.  You will probably also be required to wear a special supportive bra during your recovery for some time.

Make sure that you understand what is going to happen before, during and after the surgery before you make your decision.  It is not something that should be decided on lightly.  The decision to have a surgery for any reason is one that needs to be taken very seriously.

A breast enlargement surgery can greatly enhance the quality of your life.  You should make sure that you are prepared for the risks and are in great health before you undergo surgery for cosmetic reasons.  Do your homework before you make a decision that will have such a large impact on your life.  For many women, the decision was a great one.  Make sure that it is the best decision for you.
